History and Business
Fimaco was incorporated on 26th November 1983 in Malaysia under the Companies Act, 1965 as a private limited company under the name of Fiamma Credit Sdn. Bhd. The company assumed its present name on 6th February 1987. The company is 100% owned by the holdings company that listed at the KLSE Main Board in November 1997.
In 1987, the company commenced its distribution activities of the Ariston brand for household appliances. Since then, the company has expanded its product lines to include brands such as Faber, MEC, Braun, Maytag, Tuscani and Oral B. Fimaco is also the sole distributor for Maytag in Thailand, Singapore and Vietnam.
Distribution Network
The Group has a distribution network of dealers that spans both West and East Malaysia comprising of more than 500 dealers. These dealers include large departmental stores, electrical home appliance shops, kitchen dealers and housing developers which allows for comprehensive capture of the market. The major departmental stores that we have as dealers include Courts Mammoth Berhad, Carrefour, Tesco, Giant, Jusco, Sen Heng and many others. This enables customers to have easy and ready access to our products due to the dealerships that exist in large urban departmental stores and smaller suburban neighbourhood outlets.
After Sales Service
The sales and marketing teams are well supported by our after-sales service center which was recently awarded with the ISO9001.2000 certification. Our service teams comprises over 30 highly trained professionals with 60 service centers nationwide providing a very comprehensive coverage all over Malaysia.
Warehousing
Our Warehouse is among one of a handful in Malaysia with a fully automated system. This provides us with improved productivity, safer operations, increased reliability as well as reduced running costs. The material flow is also more efficient making enhancing our overall delivery processes. In short, our automated warehouse provides the maximum possible usage of available floor space and building height with the lowest possible running cost.
